By trade, I am an IT Systems Engineer. Electronics and computing has always been a major part of my life. I just recently passed my technician exam, and received my license in October of 2019. I have been interested in amateur radio for many years, and I’m not sure what took me so long to get into it. I hope to make this site a useful tool for any new hams, and also document my journey in the world of amateur radio.

I’ve got some ideas for some antenna projects, SDR, digital, computer tools, and much more. As I continue to grow my radio skill set, I hope to provide some insights into making the radio art more accessible to the new ham. A lot of the sites out there expect you to be an expert on day one.

If you have any ideas for projects, suggestions, or even concerns, please let me know by emailing me at KD9NZY ‘at’ protonmail ‘dot’ com!

— And yes, that is a Baofeng UV-5R in the picture. Don’t worry, it won’t be the only radio I own.
